"X" Litter
The X litter was the result of a silent heat and an "oops" breeding when Black Gold Vows Unbroken (aka "Zoe") came to be trained for the show ring in early spring. At that time Jeff, the only intact male in the kennel, was the first to notice that Zoe was having her first heat cycle.
With this discovery, Zoe's show training ceased and she was immediately returned to Ohio. Thiirty days later she was vet checked and displayed no signs of pregnancy; however, an x-ray on June 6th showed the existence of three puppies and imminent whelping..
Two nights later, Zoe gave birth to two males and one female puppy. These healthy and attractive pups were later placed in excellent pet homes with AKC limited registration and spay and/or neuter agreements.
Due to Zoe's youth and unexpected pregnancy, she had no health clearances at the time; however, since then she did pass her CERF.
